As soon as they arrive the police move in and start to threaten first fines and then arrest (on th ebasis that it is an ilegal lockdown gathering, even though they are all over 2m apart) if they do no leave - Extinction Rebellion hold silent, socially distanced protest for one hour in Parliament Square. They want to express their dissatisfaction with 'Government incompetence and demand a Citizens Assembly on the Covid-19 recovery' as they believe 'the political institutions in place are not capable of meeting the major challenges we face with coronavirus and the climate and ecological emergency'. The eased 'lockdown' continues for the Coronavirus (Covid 19) outbreak in London.
