The Teletubies celebrate their 20th anniversary by siezing a remote control car - The London Toy Fair opens at Olympia exhibition centre. Organised by the British Toy and Hobby Association it is the only dedicated toy, game and hobby trade exhibition in the UK. It runs for three days, with more than 240 exhibiting companies ranging from the large internationals to the new start up companies.
