  • Pablo Bronstein: Historical Dances in an Antique Setting. A new live performance piece, which has been created as part of the annual Tate Britain Commission (in which a leading contemporary artist is invited to develop a new large-scale work in response to the neo-classical Duveen Galleries). Historical Dances in An Antique Setting is the artist’s most ambitious project to date. It involves a continuous live performance from three dancers, who weave up and down the gallery blending Baroque choreography with contemporary dance. Providing a backdrop to the performance, two large scale theatrical facades fill the width of the gallery. Tate Britain Commission 2016 is at Tate Britain from 26 April 2016 – 9 October 2016.
